ECO's Education Programs

Goal: To educate students and the general public about the Niagara Escarpment through curriculum based programming and on-site interpretation.

Education is of the highest priority for ECO. In its public education and school programs, ECO will emphasize the importance of preserving this diverse and unique landform. A key objective of the UNESCO Biosphere Reserve program is the promotion of education, and ECO will help to fulfill that objective. ECO's Education Sub-Committee continues to pursue this goal by preparing teacher resources for bringing the escarpment into the classroom.

These resources are curriculum relevant and will be made available on-line making them accessible and useful to teachers of all grade levels across Ontario.
