Escarpment Centre Ontario

Final Phase

The last stage for ECO will be the building of a major interpretive centre to celebrate the Niagara Escarpment just south of Owen Sound, Ontario. This $6 million dollar state of the art facility will house interactive displays, a theatre, classrooms, travelling exhibits hall, an observation deck and much more. School programming as well as events and programs for all visitors will be a major part of this facility.

The location, on Grey Sauble Conservation Authority land, will be linked to the spectacular Inglis Falls by the Bruce Trail and other interpretative trails and boardwalks. You will be able to experience the Niagara Escarpment first hand.

The Centre's design has been developed to have as little environmental impact as possible. The building will fit into the landscape and provide a healthy environment for both visitors and staff.

When completed, it will be one of Ontario's newest 'must see' attractions. Visitorship is expected to be 80,000 to 100,000 per year with almost half of that being school groups. This will be a wonderful place to bring the family for a day, and then spend the rest of your time using your newfound knowledge to explore the rest of the Niagara Escarpment
