Todd Brooker, World Cup Downhill Skier, Former Olympian and Narrator of ECO's Promotional Video: "As a young boy, I grew up in Thornbury, Ontario located along the Niagara Escarpment. The local ski hills became my training ground that enabled me to become a world-class downhill skier. What I learned as an athlete helped to shape my life and career. Today, I still live in the area with my wife and three children. I made a quality of life decision to remain in the Thornbury area for various reasons. Therefore, I support ECO to ensure that the beauty and recreational aspects of the Niagara Escarpment remain preserved for my children to enjoy."

Grace Telfer"The Peninsula Bruce Trail Club offers our whole hearted support to the Escarpment Visitor/interpretive Centre as one important educational and ecological resource for protecting the Niagara Escarpment and it would be a wonderful opportunity for environmental appreciation for students. The centre would also attract people from across North America providing valuable information for those visiting the mid and northern sections of Ontario's major geological characteristic and putting its ecological and cultural importance into context. The facility in Owen Sound is definitely needed.

Please communicate to others the Peninsula Bruce Trail Club's support to this worth while project and we wish you much success in your fundraising efforts.

Don Scott, Niagara Escarpment Commission Chair:
"On behalf of the Niagara Escarpment Commission, I commend the City of Owen Sound for its Escarpment Centre Ontario (ECO) project. ECO would provide tremendous value as philanthropic investment for any funding partner. We appreciate your intent to extend the work of Escarpment Centre Ontario beyond the building itself. I refer particularly to the course material that you are developing for students and teachers, which you plan to make available throughout the Escarpment area and on your web site. We look forward to collaborating with you as the educational outreach portion of the project evolves. Let me take this opportunity to thank you for counting the Niagara Escarpment Commission among your friends and to wish you our very best for the greatest success!"

Clive Card, Institute for Outdoor Education and Environmental Studies Principal:
"There is a tremendous need for an interpretive facility that focuses on the Niagara Escarpment: its geology, its biology, and the human history connected to it. Eco would be a resource that not only serves the region, but the province, the country and beyond, as an archival repository for research dealing with the escarpment as a World Biosphere Reserve.
Through our mandate as an educational facility, we would be pleased to promote and use ECO in addition to any partnerships that support staff sharing & development, program development and site interpretation. In many ways, this process has actually already started at a volunteer level. In the long term, I see that the two facilities would complement each other greatly."

Ross Thomson, Parks Canada Superintendent: "The greatest challenge we face in our efforts to live sustainably is to create awareness and understanding of what constitutes a healthy, natural environment. Linda Manchester, Saugeen Field Naturalists President: "The Saugeen Field Naturalists support the concept of a hands-on interpretive research centre by Escarpment Centre Ontario. It would be a welcome addition to the Niagara Escarpment. An interpretive centre that would make people appreciate and understand the Niagara Escarpment and its significance and importance to Canada and the world would make a valuable contribution in helping to protect one of Ontario's natural heritage."
